During this type of investigation the patient lies on a special table between the source of X-Rays and the patient. The X-Ray detector moves around the area under investigation, without causing any pain or discomfort. The procedure lasts about one or two minutes for each segment; during this time the patient must remain still to ensure that a good image is produced.
