The in vitro fertilization is an assisted reproductive technique, in which the fecundation of the ovules takes place outside the human body. After a medication therapy, the ovaries provide more mature ovules, which are collected through puncture. The ovules are fecundated with the partner’s spermatozoids in laboratory and the embryos are incubated for 2-5 days. The best embryos are selected in order to be inserted into the uterus.
